The experimental web build is a little slower and stores your saved game data in the local browser cache. This may not be super reliable so let me know if you have issues with your save game getting deleted on the web build.

Created in one month for RPG Mania IX and inspired by the early gen 1/2 Pokemon games and The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. This is an attempt to imitate the feel of a retro Pokemon game up to the 1st gym battle. Follow the yellow brick road and catch some strange new Hokum-mons as you meet and battle new friends along the journey to the City of Emeralds.

Visit the Potion Shop on the west side of Munchkin Town to buy Capture Cards which function as Pokeballs. Technically this is a fangame but the MonMae assets all use cards and replacing that wasn't a priority. Let me know in the comments if you're getting rolled by the Hokum-mon Inspector trainer battle at the start of the yellow brick road, there's tall grass all throughout Munchkin Town for assembling an initial roster.
